The Indus School is a learning community. Our learning programmes are driven by a student-centered and inquiry-based educational philosophy. We want our students to develop independent thinking, to explore the world with curiosity and to express themselves creatively.

At Indus, student empowerment is the first big idea in our vision statement. This idea is based on the understanding that learning is more effective when students can shape the process. We all have distinct learning speeds and styles. Simply put, if a student is developing an understanding, then they need to able to ask the next question that makes sense to them at a time when they are ready. Genuine inquiry-based education is driven forward by student inspiration and excitement. Therefore, the best schools are fully engaged with individualising learning. At Indus, we truly believe that each student is unique and we try to get the best out of each learner.

Indus is a caring, inclusive and truly diverse community. Many of our students have already interacted with overseas schools in different countries. They are in the process of becoming global citizens. We want them to be empowered to be successful in our evermore connected and changing world.
